Malaika Arora Reveals She Loves Being Called ‘Sex Symbol’; Says She Has No Qualms With This Sensuous Tag-READ BELOW
Malaika Arora weighed how she is okay to be called a sex symbol and why she shouldn’t be just known for her item numbers
Malaika Arora is one of the most sensuous celebrities in Bollywood and she has offered several superhit dance numbers like Chhaiyaa Chhaiya, Honth Rasile and Munni Badnaam Huyi. She is often regarded as a sex symbol and she has finally accepted this tag with a happy heart. In a recent interaction, Malaika Arora said that she has no qualms with the tag and she would accept being known as the sex symbol than ‘Plain Jane’.
Malaika Arora made an appearance at the India Today Conclave, and weighed how she is okay to be called a sex symbol and why she shouldn’t be just known for her item numbers. Malaika was quoted as saying, "I love being called a sex symbol. I have no qualms about being a sex symbol. I would rather be known as a sex symbol than be called Plain Jane. I am very happy and I like that tag (sex symbol).”
The gorgeous diva also expressed how she is more than a ‘pretty face and body’ that makes her relevant.
Malaika Arora said, “I am more than just a few songs, a few item songs. I am a lot more than that. Initially, that’s all one was looked at as - ‘she is a pretty face, has a great body, she looks fantastic on screen when she dances, moves well’, but I think staying relevant for over 30 years is not easy. And you cannot just do that, harbouring on good looks.”
“At some point, those looks are going to fade away and you have to move beyond that look. I am very happy and proud to say that I am part of a business where I am not a quintessential actress, but I am still a part of the industry and get the love and all the respect that any actress in the industry does."
